Spend the day exploring Solio at an unhurried pace. The compact reserve allows time to work carefully with light, behaviour and photography rather than covering huge distances. Follow rhino family groups where conditions allow and search for other plains wildlife and occasional predators.
After breakfast, travel into the Aberdare highlands. The scenery changes quickly from open Laikipia country to cool montane forest and bamboo. Depending on lodge and road access, the afternoon can include a forest game drive, waterfall route or waterhole-based wildlife viewing.
Use the morning for a final forest or waterhole wildlife session. After breakfast, descend from the highlands and drive back to Nairobi for your hotel or airport drop-off.
