This five-day private safari deliberately changes habitat every stage: cool Aberdare forest on the first night, Lake Nakuru's rhino country on the second, then two nights in the Maasai Mara. It is an efficient Nairobi-to-Nairobi route for travellers who want forest, lake and savannah in one journey. The final two days in the Mara prevent the itinerary from becoming a sequence of quick one-night stops and give the strongest wildlife destination enough time.

Private Nairobi return safari
Descend from the highlands into the Great Rift Valley and continue to Lake Nakuru. Spend the afternoon on a game drive focused on rhino habitat, buffalo, giraffe, antelope, woodland birdlife and lakeshore scenery. Overnight in or near the park.
Take a short morning drive if lodge location allows, then continue toward the Maasai Mara. After check-in, head out for an afternoon game drive on the open plains, beginning the search for lions, cheetahs, elephants and large herbivore herds.
Spend a complete day in the Mara with the route determined by wildlife movement and your interests. Choose a picnic lunch for maximum field time or split the day into morning and afternoon drives. River areas, predator territories and open grazing plains can all be incorporated.
After breakfast and a final short wildlife circuit where timing permits, leave the Mara and travel to Nairobi. End with a hotel or airport drop-off in the late afternoon.
